Blending effortless styles with our signature color

Crushing On Cordovan

In a year that’s been challenging for one and all we can’t help but be excited to look to a new season and what will hopefully be a fresh start. This usually means a change in temperatures and a consequential shift in our everyday wardrobe. For Etienne Aigner, one characteristic that will always remain constant and seasonless is our signature color, cordovan

Getting its name from the quaint town of Cordoba, Spain where the process of leather tanning was developed many centuries ago, the hue is categorized as a rich, deep maroon and has been the signature color of our brand since its inception in 1959. Mr. Etienne Aigner, our name sake designer, launched his very first collection exclusively using cordovan colored leather that became a staple in the shoes, bags, and other leather goods produced by the brand in the years to come. This color, coupled with the horseshoe “A” logo became immediately recognizable as an Etienne Aigner original design.

Blending effortlessly into a fall wardrobe, there are more than one dozen handbag styles available in the cordovan color, making it easy to find the perfect match for your style. Read on for some fall style inspiration!
