EA is taking notice of businesses that are going the extra mile

The Gift of Giving Back

While we are all struggling with not knowing what the next day will bring, we have seen glimmers of positivity in the form of businesses— both big and small —  doing what they can to keep our spirits up. We’ve rounded up some of the best examples we could find, and we welcome you to share any others you have seen with us!

Sweetgreen is committed to taking care of those who are taking care of us during this difficult time. They have set up outpost operations near select hospitals in all of the cities they are located in and will be distributing free meals for doctors, PA, nurses, and all hospital workers. New York Public Library

If you’ve run out of shows to binge and are feeling fatigued of scrolling through social media the New York Public Library has come to the rescue. They have made over 300,000 books available for download for free through the SimplyE app. Click here to learn more!

The Metropolitan Opera

Might we suggest a night at the opera? You may want to put on your fanciest pajamas for this one! The Metropolitan Opera will be steaming a different opera from its Live in HD series every night starting at 7:30pm EST. Start streaming here.

Frozen 2 on Disney +

Parents rejoice! With schools across the country shutting down for an indefinite period of time, Disney released Frozen 2 on its streaming service on March 17, more than three months ahead of schedule.

Whole Foods and Stop & Shop

Grocery stores are struggling to keep up with the demand that his pandemic has caused. This has created empty shelves and a less-than-ideal shopping environment for all. To help alleviate some of this stress, both Whole Foods and Stop and Shop grocery stores are allowing customers aged 60+, those at most risk if they become infected,  to shop for one hour before the store opens to the general public.

Hallmark Channel

Because, what’s more cheerful than a cheesy holiday movie in March?! The Hallmark Channel is running a select list of their every-popular holiday movies that (almost) always have a happy ending. Check your local listings for the next showing!
