“I’m making a conscious effort to change out of pajamas and put on a new outfit. It helps to set the tone and for me to get started on my workday”
—Nicole M, marketing
“I’m finally getting a chance to read all the books that I never seem to have enough time to pick up. As a bonus, its also helping to keep my day structured, I’ll do some reading as a reward once I’ve finished working for the day.”
—Paola C, ecommerce operations
“No matter what I’m doing I stop to eat a well-balanced lunch at 12:00 every day. It allows me to reflect on the work I’ve done for the morning, and plan out what works needs to get done for the afternoon.”
—Taylor K, brand partnerships and client success
“I’m keeping my workspace completely separate from where I relax at the end of the day. Once I’m done with work it feels like I’m leaving the ‘office’ and I’m able to disconnect and shift my focus to something that doesn't have to do with work!”
— Colleen M, e-commerce
“After getting breakfast ready for my kids and sending them off to “remote school”, I start by day with 20 minutes of meditation followed by a workout session of Yoga or Pilates. The EA team recommends Melissa Wood Health, so I’ve been giving her a go lately. I love it! It grounds me and gets me ready for whatever challenges the day will bring.”
— Melinda C, marketing
“After we finish work each day, my husband and I go for a walk around our neighborhood. It gives us something to look forward to and a way to decompress after being on conference calls and answering emails for most of the day”
— Risa Z, senior account executive
“Working from home with a child takes a lot of juggling and a lot of patience.
My daughter is a little over one year and hard to keep entertained for more than 5-10 minutes at a time, so I find that keeping a routine is key to making the day feel as normal as possible.
I wake up an hour earlier each morning to make a daily schedule and list of to-do’s (both work & kid-friendly activities) so I can stay organized. Plus, it’s nice to have some alone time with my cup of coffee to enjoy the calm before the (always-exciting) chaos”
